My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve use CBT in my practice as it has helped many clients reframe and challenge their reoccurring thoughts in order to assist them in managing their anxiety. Using CBT will increase awareness and recognize how thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that information to reframe thinking patterns, which will help with feeling less anxious and less stressed about life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT skill to teach client new skills, such as mindfulness and stress management techniques, as well how to better manage their emotions. I assist the client by coaching them through the skills, allowing them to be their own best advocate, and become aware with their acceptance. DBT can be is used in group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching settings.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person- center approach is accepting clients without judgment, strive to understand their experiences, and be genuine in their interactions. It’s like inviting someone into your kitchen, offering them a cup of coffee, and saying, “Okay, I am all ears. Now, let’s figure this out together.” I emphasis on empowerment and the client's self-discovery. It puts you in the driver’s seat; like being handed the keys to your own mental health journey and being told, “You’ve got this!” I create a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. Imagine walking into a room where you can say anything – and I mean anything – without fear of criticism or rejection. That’s the kind of space person-centered I strive to create for my clients.
