Shannon Lovett, a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience in treating adults, college students, and adolescents. Each person is unique and special in their own way. Therapy should be tailored to meet each individual's specific role within their environment and cultural experiences, physical and emotional well-being. Many clients are challenged with depression, anxiety, or relationship issues related to dating, friendships, or family. I have experience working with issues ranging from psychosis, trauma, conduct-related problems, family conflict, grief, men's issues, mood disorders, self-esteem, self-harming and PTSD. Shannon is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals and families in their journey toward healing and growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I genuinely focus on establishing personable relationships while working together to find healthy ways to create a safe environment while challenging behaviors and thoughts to aid in motivation for change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use CBT by first helping clients identify specific, problematic thought patterns. Together, we break down these thoughts and explore how they influence emotional reactions and behaviors. Once this connection is clear, I guide clients through practical exercises, such as thought challenging, behavior activation, and exposure therapy (if needed), to help them shift these patterns.
