Our first session together (and sometimes second) will be spent getting to know each other and discussing what you hope to achieve by coming to therapy. We'll go over your intake questions and talk about what it was like for you growing up and what your life looks like now.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic. Treatment modalities may include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, or Solution-Focused Therapy.
I have worked with adults in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. I help clients process their experiences and learn healthy coping skills. I assist with the development and maintenance of healthy behaviors, boundary setting, and increasing self-awareness and personal insight.
My ideal clients come to sessions with an open mind and are willing to explore options for growth. They take what is useful from therapy and practice it outside of sessions in order to initiate the changes they seek.
