Hello I'm Jasmine Bullock, I completed both a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2013 and a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2014 from Wayne State University. I have been working in the field of Clinical Social Work for 10 years in multiple areas including therapy and crisis intervention. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. I incorporate both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy treatment modalities. I utilize Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients gain a better understanding of how life experiences can impact current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I utilize psychodynamic therapy to treat trauma and depression. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps client’s understand ways to shift negative ideas, beliefs, and sense of self that experiences like trauma can produce. Through CBT anxiety and low self-esteem can be treated. I provide a comfortable environment for clients, free from judgement and no one leaves feeling criticized. I listen and allow my clients to tell me what they are going through and actively explore thoughts and feelings. I enjoy working with people to help them learn life-long coping mechanisms and interventions to help them thrive and grow on a daily basis. I enjoy being a part of the journey towards greater understanding and accomplishing the goals each set for their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, we will start our therapeutic relationship and I will start to get an ideal of what you would like to work on in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strength is not being judgmental of my clients. I work to understand what's going on with the clients and provide a judgement free zone so each time we meet you feel free to share your thoughts and feelings.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients change unwanted behaviors. I use this treatment method to help you identify and change any unwanted behaviors by utilizing evidence based interventions.

Interpersonal

I have utilized Interpersonal Therapy for the last 10 years when interacting with clients. I have been able to build a repore with my clients to help them feel comfortable to discuss things that they may be hesitant to discuss otherwise. I use evidence based practices to interact with you and help you identify solutions to your issues.

Psychodynamic

I have used Psychodynamic Therapy to help individuals look at their past and determine what in their past is affecting them presently. I use evidence based practices to help you identify what in you past is causing the behaviors that are contributing to your current behaviors. By using psychodynamic therapy I have been able to help individuals with depression and trauma.

Motivational Interviewing

I have used Motivational Therapy to help individuals change their current situation. I will use motivational interviewing to help you identify your thoughts and behaviors that need to be changed and help you identify solutions for the thoughts and behaviors that you would like to change. Motivational Therapy has been useful when helping individuals with low esteem, anxiety and depression.

Strength-Based

I have utilized Strength Based Therapy in multiple settings to help clients see their strengths. I will help you identify your strengths to help you use those strengths to change situations that you wish to change. I have used strength based therapy with adolescents to help them with their anxiety and self-esteem.
