I am a mental health counselor with over 11 years experience in helping clients work toward their vision of a happy and meaningful life. I have spent most of my career working in community mental health, where I currently work full-time as a behavioral health director. I am continuing to provide counseling services with Grow as working with people in counseling is my passion and I look forward to finding out what goals you hope to accomplish!

I have experience working with many populations, issues, people, and settings. I began my work in substance use, have extensive experience providing counseling in private practice, and have had years providing treatment to those with severe and persistent mental illness. My clients consistently provide feedback that they feel truly heard during our sessions, and that they feel a sense of movement toward their goals.
I often use CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge dysfunctional thought patterns that contribute to anxiety/depression
I incorporate DBT principals to help improve distress tolerance skills, learn and practice mindfulness techniques, and to reduce polarized or "black and white" thinking.
For trauma or deeply held beliefs that are continuing to cause pain, EMDR is an extremely useful technique to help with reprocessing difficult emotions.
