I am a compassionate and experienced therapist who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to support healing, growth, and emotional well-being. With over 20 years in the mental health field, I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and trauma. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with tools to move forward.
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we’ll begin building a therapeutic relationship. I’ll take time to get to know you or your child, explore what brings you to therapy, and gather important background information to better understand your goals and needs. We’ll talk about what therapy might look like moving forward, answer any questions you may have, and start identifying the areas you’d like to focus on. The goal of the first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and hopeful about the path ahead.
My greatest strengths are my empathy, ability to build strong therapeutic relationships, and my commitment to meeting clients where they are. I bring over two decades of experience, which allows me to offer both clinical skill and deep compassion in every session. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. My flexibility in tailoring treatment approaches to fit each person’s unique needs, along with my belief in the power of hope and healing, allows me to guide clients through even the most challenging seasons of life.
I am best positioned to serve individuals, children, adolescents, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relational conflict, and emotional or behavioral challenges. I have a strong background in working with youth and families, particularly those adjusting to loss, divorce, blended family dynamics, and academic or developmental concerns. I also support adults experiencing stress, low self-esteem, and difficulty managing emotions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique story and needs, helping them build resilience, clarity, and meaningful change.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice and find it to be an effective, evidence-based approach for helping clients of all ages manage a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, develop healthier thinking patterns, and learn practical coping strategies. In my work with children, I adapt CBT techniques through play, art, and age-appropriate activities to build emotional awareness, problem-solving skills, and behavioral regulation. My approach is collaborative, helping clients and families apply CBT tools in everyday life to support lasting change.
