Every client is unique and is facing their own distinctive challenges. Therefore each treatment plan should be personalized and individualized. An ideal client is one who comes to counseling with an open mind and is ready to try new approaches and coping skills. Each person will benefit differently from a wide variety of approaches. Together we can and will find the right strategies that work best for you. There is not a "normal" or "standard" cookie-cutter path. It is a journey! I have experience working with issues as grief, anxiety, anger, mood, neurological, trauma, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and more. I am dually independently licensed and passionate about providing the utmost quality of services to people struggling with mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnoses. I have over 10 years of practice, including a wide array of experience, working with clients of all age groups individually, with couples and in groups. The therapeutic environment is a safe place for clients and their families to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, existential, EMDR, and Person-Centered treatment interventions and I have found that when using these interventions, people begin to realize the strength to overcome challenges.
We will get to know each other more, and better understand the problems and start to create a treatment plan together.
I always want to help people. I have the best interest of my clients in mind. I am flexible and able to guide a client to find their best self.
All of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected. CBT helps you to challenge, change, and overcome automatic beliefs, and use practical strategies to change or modify your behavior.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, commonly known as EMDR, is a mental health therapy method. EMDR treats mental health conditions that happen because of memories from traumatic events in your past. It’s best known for its role in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but its use is expanding to include treatment of many other conditions.
It focuses on the individual's ability to make choices, develop their potential, and find meaning, purpose and contribution in life. Existential therapy can help people identify their true beliefs, understand their responsibility for their actions, and confront life's difficulties from a philosophical perspective.
Adlerian is client focused. The client knows themselves better than I do. I follow suit and let the client talk and problem solve. I listen and understand to help the client process.
