If you are reading this, you are taking the hardest step: Looking for the right therapist. A little about me: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been practicing as a Clinician for 10 years. I received my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College in Boston. Prior to this, I "temporarily" moved to Quincy, Massachusetts from a suburb outside of Philadelphia after my Father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that metastasized to his liver. I loved the city of Boston so much, I never went back. In 10 years, I have worked inpatient, outpatient, PHP, long term residential, you name it.
As much as I believe in treatment through a multitude of therapeutic modalities, I believe in beginning with simplistic talk therapy to where you're most comfortable, and moving forward from there.
I specialize in major depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, addiction, marriage counseling, group therapy, family therapy and individual therapy.
I have extensive experience in treating addiction, grief & loss, depression, anxiety, and marriage counseling. I find success practicing CBT & DBT therapy, which are types of therapy that focus on changing your behavior through analyzing your thoughts.
I place focus on the value of gaining self-awareness, and work to help you achieve that. I will offer you ideas to take from each session to continue to challenge your thinking between sessions.
