Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Doctorate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Western States. With five years of experience in the field, I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, and mental performance challenges. I work with individuals who are striving to become the best version of themselves, supporting them in overcoming obstacles and reaching their full potential. Whether managing stress, building resilience, or enhancing performance, I am committed to providing the tools and guidance needed to thrive mentally and emotionally.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, clients can expect to find a non-judgmental and welcoming space where they can openly share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I aim to listen carefully and create a safe environment without any pressure.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to listen deeply, help clients clarify their goals, and address those "I don't know" moments that can often feel overwhelming. I focus on making complex topics clear and accessible without relying on too much jargon, ensuring that clients feel confident and informed about their journey. Additionally, I bring a sense of humor and a positive, collaborative alliance to our work, creating a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals new to therapy who may need support in normalizing the experience of sharing personal, confidential information with someone they don’t know. I also find fulfillment in working with clients who either lack the tools to navigate their challenges or need guidance in reconnecting with the tools they already possess.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I value acknowledging that we can’t always control the content of our minds, such as negative thoughts or difficult emotions. Instead of trying to suppress or eliminate them, ACT helps us accept these thoughts without judgment, recognizing that they sometimes work for us, guiding us toward meaningful action, and other times, they can hold us back. This approach feels validating, as it allows us to acknowledge our experiences without feeling defeated by them. It’s also problem-focused, helping us identify and work through obstacles, and flexible, as it adapts to where we are in our journey, allowing us to respond to our minds’ fluctuations with openness and commitment to our values.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

After applying ACT, we use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to challenge and reframe the beliefs that may be limiting our growth. By identifying helpful or unhelpful beliefs, we can actively work to replace irrational or self-defeating thoughts with ones that better align with our core values and goals. This process further strengthens our commitment to meaningful actions, fostering a mindset that supports both emotional resilience and constructive change.

Multicultural

Multiculturalism serves as the "background" to my approach because I believe every human being is unique, shaped by their distinct cultural experiences and identities. This perspective allows me to provide individualized care, recognizing and honoring the cultural aspects that are significant to each person. In a world that can often feel invalidating or dismissive of diverse backgrounds, I strive to create a space where individuals feel seen, understood, and respected for who they are. By incorporating multicultural considerations into my work, I empower people to embrace their cultural identities while also addressing the universal aspects of the human experience.
