My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

To begin I like to acquaint myself with the client's viewpoint and then move into cognitive restructuring or reframing which involves looking at thought patterns and re-writing the story you tell yourself. Some of the methods I use are psychoeducation, skill building and behavioral strategies to avoid triggers.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged exposure teaches a client safety by taking a gradual approach to trauma-related memories, feelings and situations clients learn that trauma-related memories and cues are not dangerous and do not need to be avoided.
