New to Grow
Hi, I’m Mariah. I’m a licensed therapist who loves helping individuals navigate anxiety, hoplessness, trauma, and life transitions. I believe every person deserves a safe space to explore their emotions without judgment. After a decade in the mental health field, I’ve discovered that lasting change grows from a safe space to share your story, practical education that empowers you, and genuine compassion that keeps you going even when life inevitably gets tough.
You can expect to leave our sessions feeling deeply heard, witnessed, and supported. You’ll also gain a clearer understanding of how your body and mind are responding to your current circumstances — whether that’s hyperarousal (feeling keyed up or anxious) or hypoarousal (feeling shut down or disconnected). From there, I’ll help you learn practical tools and techniques to gently soothe and regulate your nervous system, empowering you to feel more grounded, present, and in control outside of therapy.
My greatest strengths as a therapist include creating a safe, compassionate space, helping clients connect with their inner wisdom, and guiding them toward insight, healing, and resilience.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and centered on you and your story. Together, we’ll begin by creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. From there, we’ll work side-by-side to craft a personalized treatment plan based on your unique goals and what you’d like to gain from therapy. I believe psychoeducation is a powerful part of the healing process — so along the way, I’ll help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and normalize your current experiences. I also integrate practical, somatic tools to help you ground yourself in the present and gently rewire anxious or fear-based patterns. Throughout our work together, you’ll often hear me ask: “What would you do in this moment if you felt confident?” — because my goal is to help you reconnect with your own strength, resilience, and inner wisdom every step of the way.
Compassion is often the hallmark of healing an unhealthy relationship with parts of yourself. Together, we work to soften self-criticism and release shame by inviting you to connect with compassion toward yourself, cultivating emotional safety and resilience.
Trained to use Experiential therapy to help you engage in creative, action-based activities—like role play, guided imagery, or expressive exercises—to access emotions and insights that talking alone may not uncover.
I use somatic techniques to help you gently reconnect you with your body’s wisdom, helping you notice and release stored tension so you can feel more grounded, safe, and present.
I provide trauma-informed care by creating a safe, supportive space that recognizes the impact of past experiences, empowering you to heal at your own pace with understanding and respect.
A strength-based approach helps you recognize and build on your existing skills, resilience, and personal resources, empowering you to navigate challenges with confidence.
