Hello. I am a seasoned therapist with 30 years of experience working with a variety of individuals facing trying times. We all come upon hard times throughout our journey. I believe that having someone in your corner helping with regaining self care, self worth, balance among change and the courage to forge ahead is paramount when dealing with challenges in this thing called "life". I am easy going and sometimes I can be funny. I love my job and feel honored to be able to work alongside remarkable people each day. I learn something new with each and every person and feel that therapy is a collaboration of strengths between therapist and client.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, we will go over basic information sharing and layout of how you can expect your own therapy to take place (days and times that fit into both schedules) We will discuss the issues bringing you to therapy and some history of your own unique journey. We will identify a few goals both short term and longer term to begin working towards. I will openly disclose a bit about myself and we will see if we are a good match to move ahead with scheduling future sessions. I am seasoned enough to realize not everyone is a match and please feel free to be honest if I am not the one to meet your needs. I will help facilitate finding you a better match.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach is simple and has proven effective in my work. It is to collaborate with you to identify your strengths and areas you would like to work on. I believe that developing a trusting and open relationship in the therapeutic process is necessary for good change to begin. I am open to taking suggestions and learning about you along with sharing info that may be helpful. Initially symptom reduction is my goal such as reducing anxiety/depression, improving sleep, good self care and addressing any self harm/suicidal ideation if that is present. My strength is my personality which is easy going, humorous, caring and open.
