Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters from the Florida State University and have been practicing for over 15 years. I help teens and adults struggling with depression and anxiety to become the best versions of themselves. I have worked with diverse populations and have experience working with adults, couples, groups, children and adolescents.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I will need to explore some personal background and family history, because this will provide important information needed to understand the current issues that you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a wealth of experience working with diverse populations, including military, underserved populations, domestic violence victims and offenders, children and adolescents, LGBTQ, etc. My greatest strengths include empathy, active listening and a nonjudgmental approach. I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs, promoting personal growth and resilience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behavior. When clients understand the negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to their problems, they are able to reframe these thoughts, replacing them with more balanced and realistic ones. By making positive behavioral changes and increasing healthy coping skills, my clients feel more empowered and less depressed, anxious or stressed.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Utilizing ACT, I help clients accept their thoughts and feelings without judgement so they can move forward through difficult emotions. We’ll work on changing your relationship with unhelpful and negative thoughts, so that these thoughts consume less of your time and energy. I believe that self-compassion is essential to emotional health and well-being, and we will work together to maximize your potential.
