I will ask you about who you are, your history and what brings you to therapy. Together we will create an initial assessment which will serve as a road map from where you were, where you are now to where you would like to be.
I build trust with my clients and listen attentively. I am honest. I will never give you advice that I would not follow. I am always eager to lean more about you.
I apply the approach of Gestalt therapy in a non confrontational but assists clients in a nurturing way. I like to gain trust and rapport with a client and help them to strategize and understand what is actually happening in their lives at this moment, and how it makes them feel in the moment, rather than what they may assume to be happening based on past experience.
I apply psychoeducation throughout a session for the client to build knowledge and use tools to reduce their symptoms. Additional I will assign homework tools, information, handouts, guides, and chapters to encourage more individual growth and discovery.
I apply person-centered therapy in order to empower give them the opportunity to take control of the therapeutic process.
