New to Grow
I’m a therapist with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families—especially those navigating trauma. I have a unique ability to build rapport with teens, creating a safe space where they feel understood and supported. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. Using CBT and mindfulness tools, I help clients develop coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and work toward meaningful goals. I’d be honored to support you or your family on the path toward healing and growth.
In the first session, I will take time to get to know you, hear what your goals are, and answer questions that you may have. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for you as we develop a strong therapeutic alliance.
With over twenty years of experience working with clients in diverse settings—including the child welfare system and as a first responder—I bring both clinical expertise and a grounded, real-world perspective to therapy. These experiences have given me a unique ability to stay calm in crisis, build trust quickly, and connect with clients from all walks of life. What stands out in my approach is the balance of compassion and practicality: I create a safe, supportive space while also equipping clients with evidence-based tools to navigate challenges and move toward lasting change. Clients often tell me they appreciate feeling both understood and empowered to take meaningful steps forward.
I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and families who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, or relationship difficulties. Many of the clients I work with are seeking a safe, compassionate space where they can be heard without judgment and begin building new skills for coping and growth. I especially enjoy working with clients who want to better understand their emotions, strengthen their relationships, and feel more confident in managing life’s stressors. Whether it’s a teenager struggling with school pressures or working through behavioral or emotional challenges, a family trying to heal after a difficult experience, or a first-responder seeking support, my approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s needs. Clients who find success with me often value both reflection and practical tools. They are open to exploring their thoughts and feelings while also wanting strategies they can use day-to-day. I help clients set meaningful goals and give them evidence-based tools—such as CBT for changing unhelpful thought patterns, DBT skills for managing strong emotions, and mindfulness for staying grounded in the present moment. My practice may be the right fit if you are: Looking for support with anxiety, stress, or depression Healing from trauma or adjusting to a major life change Hoping to improve family communication and relationships A parent seeking guidance on how to support your child’s emotional or behavioral needs A teen who wants a space to talk openly, build resilience, and feel understood I believe that every person and family has unique strengths. My role is to partner with you in discovering those strengths, addressing challenges, and helping you move toward the goals that matter most to you.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how they influence emotions and actions, and practice healthier ways of responding.
I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in building skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and increasing resilience. DBT emphasizes both acceptance and change—helping clients learn mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
In my practice, I draw from Person-Centered Therapy by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. This approach is built on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, allowing clients to explore their experiences freely.
