You should be proud of yourself, looking through therapist’s profiles is the first step to finding support. I approach every working relationship with a deep sense of compassion and understanding. I believe in the healing power of nature, community, and personal accountability. We would focus on helping you increase awareness, problem solve, find solutions, and take action. I believe in the connection between physical health and mental health, striving towards improving both areas when needed. Gently, we will explore all areas of your life to identify patterns, practice a change mindset, and create manageable coping skills. We will work on identifying emotions, communication skills, and increasing vulnerability in a safe way, to bring honesty to yourself and others in your life.
In our first session together, we will discuss what brought you to therapy. I will explore your previous experiences with therapy, if any, and will describe my approach to ensure we are a good match. Then, we identify goals for the next few sessions while also providing tangible takeaways to start using right away.
I am accepting, supportive, and creative. I am action oriented and want to provide ideas and suggestions every session to help relieve symptoms, while discussing underlying causes throughout the therapeutic relationship.
We will identify your thought patterns, where they originated from, and how they impact your moods, perspectives, and behaviors. I guide you through tangible practices to change these patterns, reframe your thinking and bring more positivity into your life and relationships.
I believe everyone has the potential and abilities to create their most fulfilling lives. People are inherently good, however, experiences and society can shape how we view ourselves. We would work together to examine your relationship with yourself and the impact that has on decision making and interpersonal relationships.
Self-awareness and accountability are very important to making lasting changes that will lead to a healthy life. Although it can be challenging to reflect on our own behavior and the role it plays in our lives, knowing yourself is the way to changing yourself. I believe that we are a total of our experiences, and we have power over how they shape our identity.
