Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) based in Delaware. I have 5+ years of experience in the field of counseling and have experience working with individuals and couples who are experiencing addiction issues, eating/feeding disorders, sexual dysfunction, paraphilic disorders, mood and personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and Autism. I have been an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 2020, and I received my Certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist in 2022. I work with young adults starting at age 14 and adults ending at age 55.
During an intake session I will take notes and ask questions. After I get through the initial information I am very interested to hear about you. I want to know what makes you special and unique. I want to know anything and everything you are willing to tell me. Also, during this appointment, you can ask any questions you have about me or my therapeutic style.
My greatest strengths as a provider are being; hardworking, passionate, caring, kind, open-minded, and non-traditional. I am not your "typical" therapist, I enjoy being authentically me. I am an out and proud lesbian and I don't hide that. I like to express myself with my hair colors and makeup. It is common for me to wear bright colored eyeliners or eyeshadows with purple lipstick. I believe that in order to help others I need to show up as who I am. I left corporate America and opened my own practice for the ability to be who I am and show the world my personality. I enjoy working with people who are their unique and quirky selves. I am an "elder" goth and like to wear dark clothing often (like almost every day). It is not out of the ordinary for me to change my hair color or style often, I get bored pretty easily with natural hair colors and tend to lean more toward bright fashion colors for my hair.
I work with young adults and adults who are going through changes in life with their sexuality, relationship dynamics, life goals, and education changes. I also work with couples who are in the LGBTQ+ community and/or the poly and BDSM/Kink community. My clients are ready to work and ready to begin their journey to wellness. While some don't have a goal in mind when they first come for therapy, they all have one thing in common, being willing to work as hard as I do for themselves.
I started using Brainspotting when I opened my private practice in February of 2024. I like to use it for clients with severe trauma and dissociative disorders to help gain understanding and freedom from events that happened in the past.
I work with couples within the LGBTQ+ community as well as within the polyamorous and BDSM/Kink community. I do not mediate arguments in session I will stop the argument and then address the reasons for the argument. I enjoy working with couples who have communication difficulties and who are navigating a specifically difficult area of life.
I work within the LGBTQ+ community and have a wide knowledge base for trans and gender-diverse clients. I like to work with people on their journey to discovering who they are and what they want from life.
I have been working in sex therapy for about a year now. I work specifically with LGBTQ+ people and couples, as well as poly and BDSM/Kink couples. I enjoy working with couples who are either exploring dynamics or who need assistance with setting goals and boundaries with their partner(s). I have experience with sexual dysfunction as well as paraphilic disorders as well.
While I work with everyone regardless of gender, I use feminist theory to support my treatment modalities. I believe that feminist theory gives a deeper understanding of inequality in society and can be used to help anyone feel seen and heard, regardless of gender identity.
