Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with individuals of all ages. I am licensed in Illinois, Missouri, Florida, Georgia and Arizona. I have over fourteen years of experience in helping individuals with depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, anger management, PTSD, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I often practice as a Christian counselor, however, I work with individuals from all faith backgrounds with a non-judgmental approach. I know that taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage. I am proud of you for taking this step and look forward to walking along side of you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My counseling style is laid back, warm and client centered. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I will gather your history, specific challenges you're facing and strengths. This will help me to get to know you to be better able to assist you with coming up with goals and solutions that we can work through together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think my greatest strength is the ability to connect with individuals to build a therapeutic relationship. It is important to me that you feel comfortable, safe and heard. In therapy I use an eclectic approach by utilizing different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive behavioral therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This approach allows me to adapt to your specific goals and challenges.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

A Christian counselling approach encourages individuals to explore their spirituality and faith to overcome challenges and find hope and meaning through social, emotional, mental, spiritual and cultural engagement with the gospel.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT therapy encourages you to stay mindful of your surroundings and learn to shift your attention away from internal thoughts and feelings. This involves a conscious and deliberate effort to focus on the world around you in the moment.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured therapy that focuses on teaching four core skills (mindfulness, acceptance & distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness) to help you create a good life for yourself.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) is a goal-oriented and collaborative approach that focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; it also offers tools to manage their thoughts and emotions.
