With over a decade of experience in clinical social work, I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that arise during and after a cancer diagnosis. I also offer counseling on sexual health, intimacy, and relationship dynamics, providing a safe and supportive space to address concerns related to mental well-being, connection, and personal growth. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship concerns, I integrate a mix of therapeutic techniques to empower you toward healing and resilience.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Starting therapy can feel both exciting and nerve-wracking, and it’s completely normal to have questions about what to expect. My goal for our first session is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable. Here’s what our initial session will look like: The first session is a gentle, open conversation about what brought you to therapy. We will discuss: ✔ What challenges you’re facing right now ✔ Any goals, concerns, or hopes you have for therapy ✔ Your personal history, relationships, or past experiences that feel relevant to share You don’t need to have everything “figured out” before coming in. This is a space where you can share at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. Therapy works best when it’s collaborative, so we’ll take time to explore: ✔ What you’d like to gain from therapy ✔ Any patterns, emotions, or relationship dynamics you’d like to better understand ✔ What approaches feel most comfortable for you If you're unsure of your goals, that’s okay! We’ll explore what’s most important to you and develop a plan together. We’ll also discuss how therapy works best for you, including: ✔ The pace and structure of our sessions ✔ What approaches or techniques might be helpful ✔ Answering any questions you have about the therapy process This session is not about fixing everything right away—it’s about starting the journey toward clarity, healing, and growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my deep compassion, integrative approach, and ability to create a safe, supportive space for clients facing complex emotional challenges. With over a decade of experience in oncology social work, relationship and intimacy counseling, grief support, and mental health therapy, I bring both clinical expertise and human connection to my work. I understand that starting therapy can be daunting, and I pride myself on being approachable, empathetic, and supportive. My goal is to ensure that every client feels safe, heard, and valued—no matter what they’re going through. I believe that healing happens in a space of trust and understanding, and I work to create that from the very first session. Rather than focusing solely on what’s “wrong,” I help clients recognize their resilience, strengths, and inner wisdom. Therapy with me is not about fixing you—it’s about helping you reconnect with your own capacity for growth and healing. I tailor my approach to each client’s unique story, needs, and goals, ensuring that therapy feels relevant and meaningful.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

I believe that therapy is a collaborative and compassionate journey. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you feel truly seen and heard. Using a compassion-focused approach, I help clients develop self-kindness, resilience, and emotional awareness, particularly when facing anxiety, self-criticism, grief, or significant life changes. Together, we’ll work toward healing, self-acceptance, and meaningful growth. My approach is gentle yet effective, helping clients break free from self-criticism, reduce distress, and foster inner strength. Whether you are adjusting to a major life transition, struggling with relationship challenges, or coping with medical issues, I am here to provide compassionate, evidence-based support tailored to your unique needs.

Attachment-based

My approach is attachment-focused, relational, and emotionally safe. I help clients explore the ways their attachment history affects their present relationships—whether romantic, familial, or even self-relationship. My goal is to help you move from patterns of insecurity, fear, or avoidance to developing healthy, secure, and fulfilling relationships

Sex Therapy

Sex, intimacy, and relationships are essential parts of our emotional and psychological well-being, yet they are often the most difficult topics to talk about. If you're experiencing challenges in your sex life—whether it’s desire discrepancies, performance anxiety, intimacy concerns, or healing from past experiences—you’re not alone. As a licensed clinical social worker with specialized training in Sex Therapy and Sexuality Education, I provide a non-judgmental, affirming space where individuals and couples can explore concerns related to sexual health, intimacy, and relationships. My approach is compassionate, science-based, and sex-positive, helping clients build confidence, deepen emotional connections, and embrace fulfilling, shame-free sexual experiences. Sex therapy isn’t just about mechanics—it’s about connection, confidence, and communication. Whether you are experiencing sexual dissatisfaction, self-doubt, or relationship struggles, I work collaboratively with clients to understand their desires, address emotional and physical concerns, and rebuild intimacy in a way that feels natural and fulfilling.

Strength-Based

I take a positive, future-focused approach, helping clients shift from feeling “stuck” to recognizing their ability to adapt, heal, and thrive. Whether we are working through trauma, relationship difficulties, or major life changes, I aim to provide a supportive space where you feel seen, valued, and capable of transformation. I believe therapy should be a space of encouragement, self-discovery, and empowerment. My approach is grounded in strengths-based therapy, which focuses on identifying your inner resources, past successes, and unique abilities to help you overcome challenge

Grief Therapy

Grief is deeply personal, and no two journeys of loss are the same. Whether you're mourning the death of a loved one, adjusting to life after a major change, or experiencing anticipatory grief due to illness, you don’t have to go through it alone. As a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in grief counseling, oncology support, and life transitions, I provide compassionate, non-judgmental guidance for those struggling with loss. Grief can be overwhelming, isolating, and unpredictable, but through therapy, we can explore ways to honor your emotions, find meaning, and begin moving forward at your own pace. Grief is not something you "get over"—it’s something you learn to carry in a way that allows you to heal and find meaning again. My approach is gentle, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experience.
