Hi, I'm a therapist with over thirty years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families and historically getting positive results. I tend to work with families with special members such as teens and seniors. I have always worked with teens as it seemed to be a population others found difficult, but I liked the challenge. Now that I am a senior, I better understand the needs of our demographic. I tend to utilize a Family Systems approach which sees the individual in a family context as the majority has grown up in some form of family, whether related by blood or not. I've also taught Marriage and Family Therapy through what is now Drexel University's Family Therapy Program and have offered professional Supervision as a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. By working with the client in a collaborative, goal setting manner, faster more positive results seem to be achieved.
After information gathering; the client and therapist usually begin by stating the reason for seeking treatment, setting out treatment goals and the process for beginning to achieve success.
Experience over time is my greatest asset. I've learned to listen to my clients and let them teach me how to help them.
This is a blend of , individual Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems with directive, collaborative, goal oriented supportive treatment.
