In the first session, we will focus on introductions and setting a treatment plan of goals to work on. We will review your completed intake paperwork and I may have additional questions to ask you. This is a time for us to explore the possibilities in what therapies may be most beneficial for you that I can offer.

I utilize compassion focused therapy to help create meaningful sessions surrounding the ability to grow in loving oneself.
I utilize DBT to help clients integrate skills of mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness into their daily lives to enhance feelings of control over thoughts/emotions/behavior.
I utilize EMDR to guide the processing of past memories. In processing, the brain wants to heal itself by changing memory from maladaptive to adaptive. This can provide relief and challenge perspective about experiences and how they relate to our negative core beliefs.
