New to Grow
My name is Stacey Bessard, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with women, individuals, and couples who often feel stuck in unhealthy relationship cycles, weighed down by past hurts, or unsure of how to move forward with clarity and confidence. You may find yourself: Repeating the same painful patterns in dating or relationships. Struggling with trust, communication, or intimacy. Feeling disconnected from your own needs and desires. Longing for healing from past trauma so you can finally move into the future you deserve. My specialty is helping you slow down, tune into what’s really going on beneath the surface, and create healthier relationships—starting with the one you have with yourself. I use approaches like Brainspotting to help release the emotional loops of past pain, so you can step into alignment with what truly matters to you. Together, we’ll work toward greater clarity, confidence, and peace in your relationships and in your life.
Your first session with me is all about you—your story, your goals, and what brought you to therapy right now. Think of it as a gentle starting point, not a test. I’ll ask questions to get to know you better, but I’ll also give you plenty of space to share what feels most important. You can expect: A warm, welcoming space where you don’t have to filter yourself. Time to talk through what’s been weighing on you, without pressure to have all the answers. A chance to share what you hope to get out of therapy—whether that’s healing from past hurts, improving your relationships, or simply feeling more like yourself again. My support in helping you slow down and notice what’s really happening beneath the surface, so we can begin to untangle the patterns keeping you stuck. By the end of our first session, most clients say they feel heard, understood, and a little lighter knowing they don’t have to walk through this alone.
What stands out about my approach is the way I help clients slow down and tune in to what’s really going on beneath the surface. So often, people come in talking about their feelings in a detached way—but the real healing begins when we pause and allow those emotions to be felt and processed. I create a space that feels warm, safe, and non-judgmental, where you can finally put down the pressure to “have it all together.” My goal isn’t just to help you talk through challenges, but to help you notice the patterns, beliefs, and emotional loops that may be keeping you stuck—and to support you in finding healthier ways forward. Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling heard, lighter, and clearer—with a deeper sense of confidence and alignment in themselves and their relationships.
I am best positioned to work with women, individuals, and couples who find themselves at a crossroads in their relationships and personal growth. Many of my clients come to me because they: Feel stuck in repeating cycles of unhealthy relationships or communication patterns. Struggle with trust, intimacy, or vulnerability due to past hurts or trauma. Carry high levels of responsibility in their personal or professional lives, leaving them feeling unseen, unsupported, or disconnected. Desire deeper clarity and confidence in their choices—whether in dating, marriage, or rediscovering themselves outside of a relationship. Want to rewrite their story and create relationships that feel healthier, more aligned, and more fulfilling. I work best with women, individuals, and couples who are tired of feeling stuck in the same cycles and are ready for something different. Maybe you’ve found yourself in relationships that don’t reflect what you truly want, or you feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world and no one really sees you. A lot of my clients come in saying things like: “Why do I keep ending up in the same kinds of relationships?” “I know I want love, but I don’t trust it anymore.” “I look confident on the outside, but inside I feel disconnected and unsure of myself.” If that sounds like you—you’re in the right place. I specialize in helping people slow down, get to the root of what’s really going on beneath the surface, and begin to heal old hurts that keep showing up in new ways. My clients are usually smart, motivated, and capable—but deep down they know there’s more to their story. My role is to walk alongside you as you release the old loops, rediscover your confidence, and create relationships that feel healthy, aligned, and life-giving.
When working with clients, I’ve learned that it is so important to slow down the rapid, often unnoticed emotions that move beneath the surface of our conversations. Whether in individual or couples sessions, people can easily slip into explaining their feelings instead of actually experiencing them. It becomes a detached narrative rather than an embodied truth. But the real transformation happens when we pause long enough to let those emotions rise, to sit in them without rushing past them, and to finally give voice to what’s happening beneath the surface. That moment—when a client allows themselves to feel instead of just talk through—is where healing and clarity begin. It’s in that space that couples start hearing each other differently and individuals reconnect with parts of themselves they didn’t even realize were asking to be acknowledged.
I use Brainspotting as a powerful tool to help clients move beyond the negative loops of past trauma. Often, painful experiences get “stuck” in the body and mind, showing up in ways that feel overwhelming or keep us repeating the same patterns. Through Brainspotting, we create space for your nervous system to release what has been held for too long. This process allows you to find relief, see the world with fresh perspective, and begin rewriting your story with greater clarity, freedom, and hope.
