I am a retired veteran and a single mother; I am here to validate you as the client, and you are here for a 3rd or 4th perspective in your journey through your mental well-being. I am faith-based; however, that will never allow me to turn anyone away from mental care, and everyone is accepted. I love cooking (chef skills), roller skating, and spending time with family and my furbabies. I am the author of two books and a women-based journal that includes wellness for women. I love NFL football and GO BILLS!
Learning to accept the therapistuc relationship through trust and rapport; active and reflective listening to ensure I understand the client's needs and to validate their presenting problem and needs.
Acceptance, empathy, compassion, kindness, listening, and helping the client find their way in healing and their acceptance of themselves.
I don't believe in dream clients, as a dream is not reality! I am a realist and want to ensure the client accepts reality-based ideas vs a dream world. I accept everyone willing to do the work in and out of therapy.
I am here to help all clients accept and commit to the client.
Faith-based practices are accepted if you choose to focus on Christian counseling.
