As a Licensed Professional Counselor I have made it my life’s mission to walk beside those seeking a greater understanding of their “true self.” This search for one’s meaning and purpose in life is many times thwarted by familial relationships, societal influences, economic constraints, identity issues, traumatic life events, lack of focus, chemical imbalances, drug use or abuse and other factors. I believe in taking a Wholistic Approach to resolving these life challenges and helping my clients create and adhere to a Treatment Plan in every area of their lives (e.g., Mental, Physical, Relational, Spiritual, Professional and Personal Life).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We can both ascertain from this conversation if we believe we are a good fit for one another.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My previous experience working with young people in their schools, homes and even in the juvenile justice system had given me a special ability to relate to young people. It also helps that I'm a mother of two and I've personally navigated the parenthood terrain. I also believe that my work with women and their unique set of issues gives me an advantage when counseling women. I've developed step by step strategies for helping my clients (a) identify the root cause of their challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I frequently find myself working with clients who are making "life transitions" (e.g., graduations, new employment, relationship valleys, loss of a loved one, etc.) and need a realistic but manageable plan to achieve their goals. Together we work on those goals and objectives that will move the client from a place of feeling stuck and anxious to a place of feeling in control and stable.
