Growing up in a military community as a student-athlete and bartender, I learned quickly that my passion and love for people would take the lead in picking a career. While receiving my master's degree at the University of Southern California, I concentrated on family and couple dynamics with a focus on military culture. Since becoming licensed in Texas, I have worked in the acute hospital setting with individuals in crisis processing trauma and working through the stages of grief. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused therapy, and task-oriented therapy. I look forward to working with individuals and couples in all different stages of life to help them process, heal, and move forward with proper coping skills to be as successful as possible.
Clients in the first session should expect to be heard. They will be encouraged to speak openly and freely with no judgement. They will leave knowing they are in a safe space where ideas and thoughts will be grown, challenged and nurtured.
My greatest strength is being able to connect with my clients where they feel comfortable and safe communicating with me. Providing a safe space and a place where people can be honest and vulnerable is my most optimal quality as a clinician.
