I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Temple University and my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University. I am a Licensed Professional therapist and a Nationally Certified Counselor, that has worked with various populations from teenagers to the elderly in different settings including inpatient, partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient. While using Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness approaches, I provide a nonjudgmental and safe environment to help clients through life's difficulties. I have experience with helping patients process grief and loss, trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, being on the receiving end of narcissistic abuse and more common concerns such as anxiety, depression. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, stand up comedy and traveling.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I use Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness approaches.
My biggest strengths are that I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which focuses on your past, present, and future worries. EMDR uses eye movements and other forms of stimulation to activate the brain’s ability to resolve troubling thoughts. EMDR helps you feel better, not just think you are better. It has long been an effective treatment for people who have experienced life-threatening or repeated incidents of trauma such as in war, child or adult victimization. I am also certified as a trauma informed clinician. Trauma-informed care recognizes and responds to the signs, symptoms, and risks of trauma to better support the health needs of people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress such as COVID 19.
