(she/her)
Hello, I am Dr. Clark. Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? Have you experienced significant traumatic experiences both in childhood and adulthood whose residuals continue to haunt you? Do you struggle with low self-esteem, chronic nightmares, memory loss, medical or health issues, or feel stuck in a rut? Have you had a near-death experience and need to talk about it? I may be able to help you figure things out and perhaps, help you find meaning and purpose in your life. Many situations happen in life that can cause you to experience symptoms of depression and anxiety. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness, coping skills, and art to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed or just need to process relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!
My goal is to help you achieve a sense of calm; peace of mind; and inspire hope that no matter how difficult the situation is, there is still something that can be done to overcome the pain and discomfort caused by the situation.
My professional strength is knowing how to help people calm down and regain focus in one of three ways: (1) counseling-helping someone get through difficult life issues such as the death of a loved one; (2) psychotherapy-which involves real change and requires a long-term commitment to healing open wounds, and (3) consultation-providing advice on a single issue or event where professional consultation could be helpful. Everyone has a story to tell and I am here to listen, to help and to heal. It is my unwavering belief that no matter what the situation is, our problems are never bigger than life.
