About me

Many clients need a therapist who is understanding, warm, and affirming. That's who I am. I enjoy helping those who are ready to do their internal work, as well as folks who struggle with asking for help. No matter who you are, all parts of you are welcome here in my practice. My compassionate yet direct style empowers clients to see themselves reflected in the work we do together. You are the primary driver of your sessions and your growth. I'm always ready to meet you exactly where you are with the kindness you may need on this part of your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

It's essential for us to establish a strong therapeutic relationship first and foremost. I start there---getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and working with you as a collaborator in your growth experience.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients can expect a space of reflection and empathy. We're here to do meaningful work, and I want to make sure you feel supported as you do. Clients may walk away feeling a sense of clarity, particularly as we work through some challenging feelings that may come up in sessions. Know that I'm there with you as we process together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm open to working with almost all clients. The common thread across all the folks I work with is their readiness to engage in therapy. Being anxious, unsure, and uncertain are all normal feelings when entering your sessions. However, being ready is how you can make whatever sustainable changes you seek for your life. I love helping clients arrive at that process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use trauma-informed methodologies to take great care in how we explore the impact of your past memories on what you presently seek to change.

Somatic

Connecting the mind, feelings, and the body can give us lots of information as to what's impacting you, what needs addressing, and how we heal forward.

Couples Counseling

I work to help couples understand their communication styles, how to resolve conflict, and help them remember that they're on the same team.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation as a way to bring language to client experiences, and to also help clients navigate incorrect contexts of therapeutic language that seem to be floating around social media spaces.
