Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am a licensed mental health counselor with 20 years of professional work experience. I have worked with clients coping with anxiety, substance use, relationship issues, family conflict, depressive symptoms, and mood disorders, to name a few. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. We will develop your treatment goals together; I want to ensure that your unique needs are met. I know it takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take those first steps towards change. I'm here to support and empower you in that journey.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then complete your intake. I will ask a lot of questions about current stressors and challenges you're facing. I will gather a brief history of your life, always respecting what and how much you are willing to share. This first session will help us co-create a unique treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I am kind, patient and empathetic. I believe I am able to quickly build a therapeutic rapport with clients and provide a safe space for therapy.
This a collaborative approach and focuses on learning about the link between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This approach involves learning and using new coping skills as well as learning to interrupt negative self talk.
