Hi! My name is Cristy Johnson. I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and I have my certification for alcohol and drug issues (CAADC). I'm also trained in EMDR therapy. I have been practicing for over 20 years. As a therapist, I'm committed to supporting clients with a variety of mental concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, relationship issues and substance abuse struggles.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is to help us get to know each other better. It will be used to gather information about who you are and what you would like to get out of therapy. It is also used to answer any questions you may have regarding the therapy process and questions you may have about my expertise and/or experience. I will explain how confidentiality works. In addition, this hour will help you feel more comfortable and safe moving forward with therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I will provide you with an environment where you will feel comfortable, safe, and unjudged. One of my greatest strengths is building this rapport with my clients. When rapport is established, you will only progress and grow with the goals you have established for therapy.
