After graduating with my MSW in 2019 from the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign, I have been pursuing my passion of providing high quality therapeutic care to those who have experienced chronic, complex trauma and are now wanting to break the cycle and heal. I am a firm believer that trauma impacts our whole beings. And left untreated, trauma takes an emotional and physical toll that wreaks havoc on our mind, bodies, and spirits. My goal is to be a part of that journey towards healing.
In our first session, we will go through introductions in order to get to know each other as a client and clinician better. Then through the use of motivational interviewing will begin to dive into your needs, beliefs, strengths and weaknesses as the client as we work towards creating goals for therapy. After the first session, I will send you information on how to continue booking sessions. All future sessions after the intake must be done through SimplePractice.
I take pride in working with my clients to build a collaboration and empowering my clients to be the expert in their own lives and be the drivers in their own treatment process. Through use of modalities such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and Christian counseling, I work to provide my clients with the toolbox they need to become the best version of themself.
I have been trained in DBT and frequently incorporate this modality in my practice.
At a clients request, I can incorporate Christian Counseling into your sessions.
CBT is used in my practice as a method of goal setting and tracking during client treatment.
