If your goal is to overcome the negative effects of trauma on your life and relationships, I may be the therapist for you. One of my greatest joys as a therapist is working with members of diverse communities to be the best version of themselves. I believe that we can best heal and grow through emotional intelligence, self-mastery, and understanding of how our cultural background and life circumstances have impacted our life outlook. My counseling approach is strengths-based and person-centered. I believe in treating everyone with unconditional positive regard and I strongly oppose stigmatizing labels. I employ the use of practical problem-solving modalities, and will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your personalized needs.
Our first session will involve an assessment, as well as an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about therapy in general or about my therapeutic approach.
