Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Tennessee. The past 23 years I have worked in a variety of therapeutic roles in a variety of populations. I specialize in treating trauma and women's issues, but I don't exclusively see women. My job is to make you feel safe and comfortable when doing the work, and I am pretty good at it. Looking forward to getting to know you and walk along your recovery path together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will discuss what brings you to our meeting and how you would like your life to look like as you work your process. I will ask about former treatment and how successful it was for you, and what you liked about it. I will also ask about your expectations and hopefully answer any questions you may have. Then we will discuss which areas we need to begin with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The thing I like the most about being a therapist is the amazing resiliency found in the people I have the pleasure to work with. My greatest strength is my ability to meet you where you are non-judgmentally and in comfort. Having been in this field for over two decades, I can tell you that I am happy just getting to know you and travel your path with you.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I have been using this modality since 2001 and have worked with many different populations in finding their strengths and perceived weaknesses. By identifying what is going well, we can then focus on fortifying the areas of perceived weakness. Many times, we discover that what we though we weren't very good at is actually a strength when paired with different ways to utilize them.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Meeting the person where they are is vital in working to accompany them in their process. In other words, tailoring the therapy to the client's needs at each session. Discovering together the issue presented and working together we can identify what is needed which direction to move next.
