Hi. My name is Fiana and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a therapist for over 20 years. My therapeutic approach is versatile, tailored to each individual's unique journey and stage of life. I specialize in EMDR, DBT, and Group Therapy, recognizing that the path to healing is as diverse as the individuals seeking it. Over the course of my extensive experience as a therapist, I've come to realize that every individual possesses the inherent capacity to heal, harboring an innate reservoir of resources waiting to be tapped. By approaching our experiences through a lens of kindness, self-compassion, and non-judgment, profound transformation can unfold.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I firmly believe in the inherent capacity and yearning for personal growth within every individual. I provide a fresh perspective that can be transformative, especially when aligned with our fundamental beliefs. Our perceptions, both of ourselves and the world, significantly impact our ability to lead a fulfilling life. Guided by the principles of self-compassion, understanding, non-judgment, and validation, I endeavor to mend our inner selves, nurturing the wounded inner child that resides within us.
I use EMDR to help my clients heal traumas through reprocessing their memories using bilateral stimulation. In this technique we use both sides of the brain to promote healing by changing their beliefs about themselves from seeing themselves and the situation from different perspectives.
I have been running DBT skills groups for 20 years as long as using the skills in my private practice by helping clients learn practical skills to promote healing.
I’ve been using CBT private practice, for 20 years, helping the clients learn the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I use an eclectic approach with my work with clients by choosing a modality that would help serve them better.
I had been working in an intensive outpatient mental health program which one they use various different types of groups such as CBT, DBT, Anger Management, Grief and Loss, Coping Skills and Inner Child groups.
