I am also married to a retired Navy Veteran and mom/bonus mom to seven. I have spent the past 28 years working within the criminal justice and civil court system with individuals, families, and, adolescents, as well as advocating for victims of crime and first responders, including military families.

Trauma focused CBT involves three phases in order to assist an individual in healing from traumatic events. The first phase includes stabilization, the second phase assists in processing the trauma through narration, and the third phase allows for integration and consolidation into a more positive mindset.
CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) This method is an interactive process in which the therapist and the individual work closely to develop a treatment plan to reduce their depressive symptoms. It is an empathetic and nonjudgemental approach to target and reduce suicidality and increase hope and reasons for living.
IFS is a method that identifies and addresses the multiple sub-personalities contained in each individual. This method focuses on healing and restoring mental balance to the individual.
