I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Massachusetts. I hold a Masters (Counseling Psychology) and Doctoral degree (Educational Psychology) and have been practicing for 6 years. I help teens and adults struggling with the stress and anxiety of life's challenges. While not all problems may be completely solvable, I believe there is always a path toward self-improvement, healing, and overall wellbeing.
In our first session we will review some basic policy and procedures. I will then ask you a series of questions to get to know you better and help us pinpoint the focus areas of your therapy. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to let me know your expectations for our sessions together.
As a provider, my primary concern is that you are getting what you expect from therapy. Our sessions represent your time, your energy...and your resources. I will check in often with you to ensure the effectiveness of treatment and am always open to your feedback and questions.
I utilize CBT as a highly evidenced-based and effective approach to assessing and re-conceptualizing problems presented by clients.
Rogerian therapy provides the foundation of effective and affirming communication (between client and therapist) vital to the promotion of positive change.
