I have 20+ years of experience as a clinical social worker - working in a number of settings with a number of different client populations. As I see it, clouds and turbulence in life can throw us off course. Let me help you navigate to blue skies and tailwinds. I will be there alongside you, but ultimately this is your journey and I will respect the choices you make in where you want to go.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I have a number of interventions to use and there are many skills I will teach you, but these will be tailored to fit you, your concerns, and your goals. As we start working together we will explore how you want me to help you. Since we will be working together on some personal topics and concerns and we will be spending quite a bit of time together, it is important for you to feel comfortable with me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

- I probably won't talk as much as you would expect - I will try to infuse some humor, as appropriate, to help get through some of the heavy discussions - I prefer to focus on the positive and looking to the future, while respecting and understand the past - This is your journey, I am here to help you get to where you want to go

Let's take the best tools, interventions, and techniques from a number of modalities and find the "best practice" for you

Couples Counseling

Couples can face a number of challenges, but they all typically have a happy first chapter - together I can help you make sure the next chapters go the way you want them to go.

Grief Therapy

Loss comes from a number of sources - loss of loved ones, loss of relationships, loss of jobs, loss of functioning, loss of dreams, loss of a pet... Together we navigate this difficult, sad time. We will find the bright days, while honoring that which was lost.

Motivational Interviewing

Looking to make a change (maybe someone is telling you to change) - let's work together to find the motivation to make that change.
