Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, substance abuse issues and self-esteem issues. You can expect me to walk you through whatever difficulties you re facing and help you learn more abut yourself and the way you interact with the world. This way we can be more open and honest with each other.
First session is about introducing ourselves to see if we are a good fit. It is all about the client and what they are looking for in therapy and what they want to accomplish.
I am a good listener, very empathetic, good communicator, provide direct feedback and allows client to express themselves and effect changes.
I like CBT as it helps us to challenge our automatic beliefs about self and our abilities. We can use more practical and realistic thought process resulting in hopefully more positive outcomes.
