New to Grow
I am a client-centered, relationship-focused therapist with over 10 years of experience. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Doctor of Educational Leadership, I pride myself on being a strong therapist, advocate, and educator. My goal is to support clients in navigating their most challenging times through honoring their strengths and helping them better understand blind spots. I believe a strong, positive therapeutic alliance is the most powerful tool in healing and look forward to engaging in meaningful work together.
Our first session will be spent reviewing your goals for therapy and determining if our working relationship will best suit your needs. This process goes both ways, as I expect you will be interviewing me as well!
My greatest strengths are in building rapport and strong therapeutic relationships so that clients feel safe in our work together. I am a lifelong learner and continue to learn and train to hone my therapeutic skills. I absolutely think and wonder about clients between sessions and will do my best to find any necessary resources to improve their outcomes.
My ideal client is someone who wants to work together to identify patterns that may be impacting their overall wellness. They will recognize that therapy is a process, and often not linear. It will require working through discomfort, but with the safety and support of myself as a trusted provider. Ideally, clients who choose to work with me will want to deeply explore themselves and their experiences to develop the necessary insight for navigating life's challenges.
I believe in creating a space of unconditional acceptance to allow clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I remain a curious faciliator while respecting that all clients are experts in themselves.
I work to help clients understand how their past may be impacting their present. I seek to support clients in making connections and recognizing patterns that may be impacting their current level of functioning.
