Life can be challenging, but you don't have to navigate it alone. If you feel lost and unsure of your life's direction, are struggling with strained relationships, or find yourself overwhelmed by daily responsibilities, know that you are not alone. Many people share these feelings, and seeking guidance is a courageous first step toward change. Children, adolescents, and adults alike can feel discouraged, unmotivated, and frustrated by life's demands. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with individuals across all life stages to address these challenges. For children, I help develop social skills, identify and manage emotions, and teach problem-solving strategies for everyday situations. For adolescents, I assist in exploring life choices such as, peer and parent relationships, identity, attend or not attending college, and managing complex emotions. For adults, I provide support in finding purpose, building self-care routines, and navigating life's transitions. Together, we'll identify your current concerns and explore how your past experiences may be shaping your present. By uncovering your strengths, we'll create practical strategies to help you move forward. We'll set meaningful goals and work collaboratively to achieve them in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Take the first step toward clarity and balance. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Prior to our first session, I will had reviewed your intake paperwork and formulated questions to develop a better understanding of your present challenges. During our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we will get to know one another. I'll explain how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and talk about what you would like to gain from our time together. We will explore your concerns, and I will learn more about your background information that may include your personal history, relationships, and significant life experiences. We will work collaboratively to identify what you hope to achieve in therapy and develop goals to help guide our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients thank me for being caring, accepting, supportive, motivating, humorous, and being “their rock”. I honor my clients’ bravery in seeking ways to gain insight and fulfillment in their lives. I am passionate about the work that I do and helping facilitate the transformation of my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have found CBT to be a successful treatment for my clients who are experiencing negative thoughts and feelings, which is impacting their behaviors. This type of treatment is a collaborative approach with a focus on the present. Effective coping skills will be identified, and progress will be monitored.

Integrative

There is an emphasis on the person's mental, physical and emotional health as a whole. The client is an active participant in therapy and the therapist and client work together to understand the sources of the client's anxiety, depression, physical discomfort, or unhealthy behavior patterns. The client has a voice in the direction of their therapy and view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In order to get in touch with our emotions we need to understand the connection between our emotions, our mind and our body. Understanding how these areas are interconnected and techniques to calm each area can bring us peace and better understanding of ourselves and our relationship with others.

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)

A treatment that helps parents and caregivers learn to relate to children with behavioral or emotional challenges. Parents/caregivers have a significant impact on their child's behavior, especially in the early developmental stages of their life. Learning how to communicate and interact with their child that promotes positive behaviors.
