I am Betty George, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia, with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with individuals, families, and communities navigating life transitions, trauma, grief, and complex emotional challenges. I strive daily to meet clients where they are with empathy, respect, and cultural humility to help them reach their goals.
The first session is a time to get to know each other and create a safe, supportive space. We’ll review confidentiality, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore your goals. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you control the pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying next steps and tools to support your growth.
I am committed to creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, supported, and equipped to move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose. I have worked with individuals, families, and communities navigating life transitions, trauma, grief, and complex emotional challenges.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, heal from life's challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. I work well with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My mission is to provide every individual who crosses my path with practical tools and insight to develop, improve, or define their own personal guide for change. I believe meaningful healing begins with awareness—both personal and societal—by recognizing how lived experiences, relationships, and environmental factors shape emotional well-being. Together, we build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and work toward lasting emotional health and personal growth.

Betty is by far the best therapist I’ve had in a very long time. I only wish I had met her when I was going through postpartum challenges. She has been incredibly supportive and has helped me overcome many obstacles in my life. What I appreciate most is that she’s genuine, humble, and easy to connect with. I’m truly grateful for her guidance and support.

I feel so much better in one session than I did in the first 20 years of my life.
