An introductory or admission session in which the therapeutic trust and alliance is initiated. I get to my clients, actively listen, affirm, and empathetically understand their challenges and development of measurable and achievable goal(s) with appropriate interventional approach. The client gets to know my clinical background and highlighting policies, procedures, client roles and rights.

Over the years I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat diverse mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use issues. An evidenced based approach that is clinically focused on identifying negative or distorted thoughts pattern and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. I have successfully collaborated with clients using cognitive restructuring, motivational interviewing, exposure therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
I have also integrated Trauma informed care into clients' treatment which involves highlighting and recognizing the impact of trauma on client's mental health, thus I ensure a safe and supportive environment is created, where they feel heard, understood and respected. This approach helps my client work through and view their traumatic experiences in a way that honors their resilience, capacity for sustain recovery and potential growth. Another approach I have employed is the Strength-based approach that allows the client and I to identify and leverage the inherent strengths and essential resources my clients bring to the recovery process. By highlighting pass achievements, resiliencies and successes my clients feel empowered, confident and a sense of self-worth toward mental wellness.
I also utilized this approach with my clients exploring and understanding their early childhood attachment challenges ( secure, anxious, avoidant or disorganized) that continue their adult relationships. By addressing these underlying attachment issues clients can develop healthier and more secure relationship.
In my couple therapy sessions over the years the clients and I identify and address the underlying issues such as communication break-downs, trust issues, or unmet needs, that cause strain and lasting tensions in their relationship, by using active listening, roleplaying and conflict resolution techniques, help clients in the end rebuild trust, improve communication, and foster shared vision for the future.
As a bilingual therapist, I employed culturally sensitive therapy, recognizing and respecting diverse cultural backgrounds of my client.
