Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Kentucky. I received my Masters from Western Kentucky University and have been practicing for 4 years. I help teens, young adults , and older individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I help empower clients by using the strengths perspective, CBT techniques, and person centered therapy to help clients be the author of their own lives in a safe and supportive environment.
During our first meeting, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and individual goals you may have for treatment. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
In my experience with clients, clients of all ages and diversity can expect to feel listened to, respected, and valued. As a provider with 4 years of experience, I also love empowering clients to help them be the author of their own lives.
Pat yourself on the back for taking the first step towards bettering your mental health because, in all honesty starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a safe and therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and valued. Which can allow clients to explore obstacles relating to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I focus on helping clients challenge negative thought patterns to help them improve their quality of life. Therapy can foster development in many ways and you are one step closer to living a more fulfilling life and be the author of your own life. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share.
As a cognitive behavioral therapist, in practice I like to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors through providing education, helping clients develop coping strategies, and helping clients improve problem-solving skills to live healthier lives.
