I am a therapist with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I was trained and worked in New York City and currently reside in Baltimore, Maryland. I have experience working with adolescents and adults and specialize in addressing depression, anxiety, relational stressors and trauma. I offer confidential telehealth sessions to adults and adolescents seeking individual therapy. I keep typical business hours (9-5 M-F).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a comprehensive intake where I will collect a detailed history as well as discuss goals for therapy. Of course the first session will also be an opportunity for the client to ask any questions to ensure there is a good fit.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am passionate about supporting clients through sticky transitions, coming to terms with challenging past events and navigating current relationships.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. By understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, clients can develop healthier coping mechanisms and create positive changes in their lives. In our sessions, I use CBT to: Address Negative Thought Patterns: We’ll work together to uncover and challenge distorted beliefs that may be holding you back. Build Practical Skills: From stress management to problem-solving, CBT equips you with tools you can apply in daily life. Enhance Emotional Regulation: Learn techniques to manage overwhelming emotions and improve your overall well-being. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or life challenges, CBT offers a structured and collaborative approach to help you achieve your goals and thrive.

EMDR

EMDR is a specialized, evidence-based approach designed to help clients process and heal from distressing experiences, particularly trauma. By using guided bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess unresolved memories and reduce their emotional impact. In our work together, EMDR can: Heal Trauma at Its Core: Address the root causes of distress, whether from a single event or ongoing experiences. Reduce Emotional Triggers: Alleviate the intensity of feelings like fear, anger, or shame tied to past memories. Enhance Resilience: Transform painful experiences into sources of strength and growth. EMDR is an empowering and transformative therapy that supports healing without requiring clients to relive every detail of their trauma. It’s particularly effective for PTSD, anxiety, grief, and other challenges stemming from difficult experiences.
