Hi! I’m an LCSW based in Kentucky. I received my Master’s degree from Asbury University in 2015 and have practiced with different populations including working with adults, children, addiction, and trauma treatment. I utilize CBT and EMDR to help adults process trauma and improve their lives. I often utilize these methods to assist clients with anxiety, depression, and PTSD to process traumatic events in their lives and deal with current and future stressors.
In our first session, we’ll start with introductions, then discuss challenges you’ve been facing and issues you’d like to work on. We will work together to create a plan for future sessions.
I have spent recent years in my career focusing on trauma treatment. My training in EMDR allows me to utilize more tools to assist in trauma processing.
I use CBT to focus on how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions influence one another and work toward changing thought patterns to improve emotional wellbeing.
EMDR is a trauma treatment that uses bilateral stimulation (often back and forth eye movement) to reprocess negative events and beliefs. I use this in practice to assist people with PTSD and trauma process traumatic events and improve negative beliefs.
I focus on a persons strengths and positive qualities to improve overall wellbeing.
I consider a person’s trauma history and life experiences to provide effective treatment.
