Hi, I’m Jacque' Polk, and I’m a therapist who believes in creating a supportive, genuine, and engaging space for my clients. I specialize in helping people gain insight into their challenges and find intentional, realistic strategies to navigate them. Whether you’re working through anxiety, career transitions, or personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and clarity. Together, we’ll build tools that empower you to feel confident and grounded in your journey forward.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, open conversation where we start to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand what brings them to therapy, their goals, and any specific challenges they’re facing. This session is about building trust and creating a safe space for clients to feel heard without judgment. I’ll also share a bit about my approach and how we might work together to meet their needs. By the end of the session, clients will have a clearer sense of what to expect in future sessions and initial steps we can take to begin their journey forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my authenticity, empathy, and insight-driven approach. I create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, which allows us to work through challenges in a genuine, collaborative way. I have a strong ability to recognize underlying patterns and bring them to light, helping clients gain clarity and understanding of their own behaviors and thoughts. My intentional, client-centered approach allows me to tailor sessions to each individual’s needs, helping them make meaningful progress and develop lasting tools for resilience and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach to CBT emphasizes authenticity, engagement, and genuine care. By being present and intentional, I create a safe space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings. This approach allows us to get to the root of their issues, whether they’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or any other challenges that CBT addresses well. For example, if a client is dealing with career-related anxiety, we might explore the negative thoughts they experience in a high-stakes work environment. Together, we could look at these thoughts, examining any cognitive distortions (like catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking), and then work to develop balanced, realistic ways of thinking. By reinforcing these healthier cognitive patterns over time, my clients gain greater confidence and resilience, empowering them to manage stressors more effectively.
