Sometimes we experience life events that cause us significant distress, sadness or anger. Other times, our life is not going in the direction we wish but don't know why and don't know what to do. Still other times, our hectic lives leave us unable to nurture our relationships and families the way we want to... I can help you create stronger relationships with your loved ones, strengthen your self esteem, and help you remove barriers to achieve your personal goals. Beginning Anew, LLC believes the cornerstone of therapeutic success is feeling understood and accepted. We can help you cope with a distressing life event, find a healthier and more satisfying approach to life issues and ultimately pave a better path to happiness! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I earned my Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University. I have a diverse background working in employee assistance, university hospital mental health, discharge planning, psychiatric inpatient, substance abuse treatment and private practice. I approach my work with a strength-based cognitive behavioral perspective. I am a long time member of the National Association of Social Workers.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My clients can expect in a session with me to feel understood, supported, and helped. I am best able to help when I deeply understand you as a person, know how you think, and how you move through the world.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

When I can gain the essence of a person, I use CBT strategies specific to them. I am one part cheerleader, coach, teacher, and parent and as many of my clients say, I feel like a best friend all while maintaining professionalism, respect and boundaries.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is my ability to relate, care and empathize with my clients. I am also a very pragmatic person with a very pragmatic approach to many life issues. I have clients across all demographics, ethnicities, political sides and sexual orientations/identities. I see you as you first and foremost.
