Hi I am a licensed clinical social worker (LMSW) based in Michigan. I received my Masters from Spring Arbor University and have been practicing for 4 years. I work with adults and children who have had trauma and are dealing with depression and anxiety. I also work with the school systems in my county to treat young children and teens who are struggling in school.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial meeting, we'll begin with quick introductions before delving into the particular obstacles you're encountering. This initial discussion will enable me to craft a personalized strategy for us to address in subsequent sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My adeptness in working with challenging individuals stems from a combination of patience, empathy, and adaptability. I possess a keen ability to listen actively, allowing me to understand the underlying concerns and motivations of those I engage with. Through careful observation and thoughtful communication, I can effectively navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and establish rapport even in the face of resistance or hostility. I thrive on finding creative solutions and am skilled at maintaining a calm and composed demeanor, which fosters an environment conducive to constructive dialogue and problem-solving. My commitment to fostering mutual respect and understanding enables me to forge meaningful connections and facilitate positive outcomes, even in the most challenging situations.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I am IFS informed and have worked with adult clients with trauma. I talk to clients about the different parts of their personalities and how they may be affecting their current behavior.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience in teaching clients CBT interventions to use in their daily lives. CBT can help decrease symptoms and increase self-management skills for people living with anxiety and depression.
