LMHC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Master’s in Education and over four years of clinical experience. My approach leans toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, because I believe therapy should help you move forward, not stay stuck. My goal is to help you work through challenges as effectively as possible so you can step into the life you’re meant to live. I became a therapist because my own life was full of unexpected curveballs. For years, I lived without the support of therapy, until I finally sought out help for myself—and it changed everything. That experience inspires me to walk alongside others as they find healing, clarity, and joy. My clients often say I am direct but with a sense of humor, and that I balance honesty with genuine care. Therapy should be fulfilling, not boring, and I work hard to make sure our sessions feel purposeful, supportive, and even a little uplifting.
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking through what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your goals, your challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. My style is conversational and direct—I’ll listen closely, but I’ll also ask thoughtful questions to help us get right to the heart of what’s going on. You can expect a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to filter yourself. We may even laugh along the way, because therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clearer picture of what our path forward will look like and a sense of hope that change is possible.
My greatest strengths as a therapist come from both my life experiences and my clinical training. I’ve faced my own unexpected curveballs, so I don’t just understand therapy from a textbook—I know firsthand how powerful it can be. That lived experience allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level, while my direct, solution-focused style (and sense of humor) keeps sessions both productive and engaging. Clients often say I help them see things more clearly and give them the tools to move forward quickly. I create a space where people feel heard, challenged in a healthy way, and supported as they become the best version of themselves.
I work best with families, couples, older teens, and adults who are ready to make real changes in their lives. My ideal clients are people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by stress, anxiety, or life’s curveballs—but who are motivated to move forward. Whether you’re struggling in your relationships, feeling disconnected from joy, or simply needing new tools to handle daily challenges, I’m here to guide you. I believe therapy should be purposeful and even enjoyable, not boring or dragged out. My style is direct but filled with humor, helping you get to the heart of the problem and work toward solutions quickly. If your goal is to find clarity, improve your relationships, and rediscover joy, we’ll be a great fit.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it’s practical, proven, and powerful. Instead of getting stuck in endless cycles of “why,” CBT helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions—and gives them real tools to break free from unhelpful patterns. I love using CBT because it creates visible change, often faster than people expect, and empowers clients to feel in control of their own growth.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) because it’s collaborative and empowering. Instead of pushing change, MI helps clients uncover their own motivation and strengths, making the process feel natural and achievable. I love using MI because it turns “I can’t” into “I can—and here’s how,” helping clients build confidence and create lasting change.
I offer Christian Counseling for clients who want to integrate their faith into the healing process. This approach combines biblical wisdom with proven therapeutic techniques, creating space for both spiritual growth and emotional well-being. I love using Christian Counseling because it offers hope, guidance, and strength through faith—helping clients align their values with their healing journey.
I provide Couples Counseling to help partners strengthen their connection, improve communication, and navigate challenges together. This approach creates a safe space where both voices are heard, patterns are understood, and solutions are built as a team. I love working with couples because it’s powerful to watch relationships transform from conflict and distance into trust, support, and renewed closeness.
I provide Family Therapy to help families improve communication, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges together. This approach creates a supportive environment where every member feels valued, understood, and part of the solution. I love using Family Therapy because it turns conflict into connection and helps families build healthier patterns that last well beyond the therapy room.
