My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps the people I work with identify and alter negative thought patterns through structured techniques and exercises. Utilizing a Positive Psychology foundation, the key CBT methods that I use are: cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and strength-based therapy, each designed to address specific issues like anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy focuses on increasing a person's awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and actions that hinder building a thriving lifestyle. Awareness helps a person engage with internal aspects of themselves, learn to tweak their language, and choose how to respond. Mindfulness-based therapy focuses on helping people gain conscious awareness of our present moment. This includes openness and non-judgment about the experience. For me, as a clinician it works well the other methods I use such as, such as Cognitive-based Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
